Project 2: Project Proposal
For this task, we are required to propose multiple ideas within the Augmented Reality (AR) field that can engage and assist users in their daily lives. Below are the requirements to be considered:

        - Tailor applications for specific purposes or events to maintain user engagement
        - Ensure sustained user engagement to prevent applications from becoming dormant
        - Design applications to be functional, accessible, and user-focused
        - Enhance user experiences and address their needs efficiently

Week 4 - Proposal Presentation
Following Mr. Razif's suggestions, my ideas primarily revolve around the navigation and education sectors. Nevertheless, I've also introduced a photography-related concept to diversify the options.

Idea #2 was selected, which is AR Name Card. Docs link: https://docs.google.com

Feedback

Week 3 - AR App Ideation Proposal
General Feedback
- Quality > Quantity
- Keep my ideas simple, at least could be done within a short period

Specific Feedback
  • Idea 1 - Navigation to Genting: The process is time-consuming and lacks accessibility since I need to be physically present in the field to rectify errors that may occur at any stage. Mr. Razif advice to do campus tour, from a point to another. It could be my plan B if idea 2 cannot bring to reality.
  • Idea 2 - AR Name Card: Rather than presenting by a real character, it was advised to maintain the virtual persona that can be customised for various purposes and etc. Additionally, Mr. Razif suggests incorporating a portfolio gallery within my bedroom or workspace rather than limiting it to a mere introduction. This way, users can have an immersive experience and deeper connection with my presentation.
  • Idea 3 - AR in Automotive: This idea necessitates a foundational level of knowledge and experience, as well as support from 3D modelling. Consequently, it could potentially entail an intense and substantial workload for me. Mr. Razif expressed concerns that this might be unfair to me.
  • Idea 5 - Film AR: lack of interaction with users.

Week 6 - AR Name Card Proposal
General Feedback
- While it's great to consider customisable layouts, characters/avatars, and themes for the AR Name Card, we should also keep in mind that we only have 8 weeks left for this project. Therefore, Mr. Razif would suggest focusing on the minimum viable product (MVP) of the AR Name Card proposed weeks ago and then testing to see if it can be realised.

Specific Feedback
- Instead of creating a character in Unity, use Real Player Me to allow users creating, managing, integrating, and customising player avatars for my app.
- Include a 360 view for clients to look around the creator's virtual space.

Reflection

Thinking about and making the Virtu Card was interesting. The idea was for people to scan a card and then see a virtual space with info about the designer. To make this happen, I thought about who would use it, made profiles for them, and drew a map of how they would use it. This helped fix problems and make the idea better.

First, I listed who I wanted to use the Virtu Card. This helped me focus on what they would like. Then, I made profiles for these people. These profiles helped me understand what they want and how they act. This made it easier to design something they would like.
Next, I drew a map showing how people would use the Virtu Card. This map helped find problems and how to make it better. I saw things like scanning issues and made solutions to fix them.

Doing all this, I made the Virtu Card idea more real and easier for people to use. It was like building step by step and making it better each time.
