Project 2: UI/ UX Design Document
After locking down our App concept and idea, we are now ready to proceed to
UX design. We are required to produce a comprehensive UX design document (in
slides format) which will provide better directions for us to design the
app.

2.0 - User Research
1) Competitive Analysis
According to Williams (2023), to analyse what my competitors are doing in
terms of user experience can really boost my own applications or website's
performance and give me a competitive advantage. When I thoroughly assess
the strong and weak points of their applications and websites, I can make
sure that my site is exceptional and offers customers the finest experience
available.

After the Week 5 consultation, I fine-tuned the sequence and flow of these
questions, beginning with basic inquiries and progressing to more in-depth
queries aimed at gathering valuable insights.
In this interview document, it includes the target audience, the structure
of the interview and its questions, transcripts, and card sorting data from
the interviewees. The interview and the process of card sorting were
recorded, and links to these recordings have been attached as well.
After the interviews, three user personas were created. For more detailed
information, please refer to the slides.

1) Card Sorting
After the interview, this card sorting exercise was conducted to gain a
deeper understanding of user preferences, behaviour patterns, and the
specific needs and objectives of users in relation to the Koi app. It
aimed to provide insights into how users organise and prioritise the
app's content and features to improve the overall user experience and
make informed design decisions.
The process of card sorting were recorded, and links to these recordings
have been attached in slides. *Check out more of the content and
features here.
In the new user journey map, I have categorised it into six journey steps
and listed out the actions, touchpoint, needs, and pain points. To prevail
over possible issues, solutions (opportunities), and next action points
and steps were provided in the last two rows.

Feedback
Week 5
- User Experience and Satisfaction will come after Testing App Features and
Interface.- Questions related to technical issues, such as app crashes or slow loading times, are not the main focus at this point, so we were advised not to include them in the interview questions.
- One-to-One interviews are preferable to ensure control over the interview pacing and situation.
- If conducting a focus group, the maximum capacity is two people.
Week 7
- Ensure sources of data are cited and include in the references list
- ensure there are fair gender distribution for interview
- avoid using fancy words in our slides presentation
- although have 8 questions, but require to branches (expand) out to more
small questions based on the responses from interviewees.

Week 8
- The time taken for interviews although is less than expected, but is
not an issue.
- Miro is the easiest method to conduct card sorting as compared to
tools like optimal workshop and uxtweak.
Week 11
- suggest to include online ordering and online payment as the app MVP
- require to expand the user content such as including an onboarding
feature
- breakdown and reconsider the steps taken for confirmation of drink
customisation, orders and payments
- include the steps for delivery and self pick-up
- upon receiving orders, users go back to the Home Page.
