Reflection 

Over the course of these 14 weeks, I can confidently say that this module has provided me with the most memorable and unique experiences compared to my previous and future semesters. Reflecting on the journey from Week 1, where the daunting task of creating a game was presented, I initially felt overwhelmed by the tight deadline for presenting our new game idea. Fortunately, a sudden surge of inspiration enabled me to contribute from the inception of the project, alleviating much of my initial anxiety.

Recognizing that this module would be evaluated by fellow group members, I made a concerted effort to actively participate in every discussion and decision-making process. Throughout the module, I felt grateful to be surrounded by supportive classmates who offered valuable insights and tips for improving our game mechanics. Ms. Anis, our instructor, ensured that she equally attended to each group member and, based on her perception, provided guidance on possible ways to overcome game rule obstacles.

The Alpha play-test was a pivotal moment where participants from other groups were invited, and one of our team members took on the role of moderator and observer. This allowed us to identify issues arising during gameplay, make necessary amendments to resolve these issues, and enhance the overall gaming experience. Two other team members consistently focused on ensuring that the progression, design, and style of the packaging and game components aligned with our game objectives and elements.

Despite our efforts, we did not receive the same or better grades compared to other groups. The primary reason was the unclear inclusion of our game rules, which affected participants' understanding and, subsequently, their gaming experience. It's a reminder that first impressions matter, as they lead to quick assumptions and judgments.

To conclude, we aim not to let grades define the extensive effort we put into this game but rather perceive them as indicators of problems and limitations in our design. Drawing on participant feedback, we are determined to identify areas for improvement and refine the game mechanics in the future. If given the opportunity, we aspire to enhance player engagement and create a more polished gaming experience.
