Task 1: Self Evaluation and Reflection
Students must conduct a self-evaluation and reflection on their Mobile Application Design 1 final project. The goal is to identify issues, problems, and difficulties in the design and propose solutions to enhance both the aesthetic and user flow of the mobile app. This process highlights the iterative nature of mobile app design, emphasizing continuous improvement. Documentation is to be submitted via Google Docs to facilitate commenting and feedback from the module coordinator.

- AI Suggestions on UIUX and the Usability
I narrow the user flow without compromising too much of the user experience. Following advice, I will use Claude AI to help identify current UI design issues and ultimately improve the overall UX of the bubble tea app I redesigned and created in my previous semester.

Include the positive feedback and suggestions on improving the current design from Claude AI, then brainstorm and conduct research on how to address these points. However, I realised that the AI tool was sometimes inaccurate, providing redundant suggestions based on the existing design and reporting the same suggestions for different screens, or missing certain aspects.

In this redesigned Figma flow, I have provided specific scenario and instruction for users to follow to ensure an optimal user experience.

Flow:
Purchasing of Golden Bubble Milk Tea.

Description/ Instructions:
You crave a combination of milk and the aroma of tea, and you also want something to bite into. Hence, Golden Bubble Milk Tea is your drink of choice for this hot afternoon. You prefer a small size since you just had lunch. You want something chilled but not too sweet, so slight sugar is your preference for this in-app purchase.

Feedback

Week 4 - Previous design of KOI App
There is no such thing as an application being perfect. For instance, Mr. Razif advised me that there are issues with my spacing and font size. Additionally, he suggested having a clean and straightforward process for the brand/application's MVP. This would involve prioritizing essential steps such as ordering and customizing the drink, followed by payment methods, and then completing the payment. Once these core functionalities are improved and coded, any remaining time before the submission of this module could be used to add more screens to enhance the overall smoothness of the application. Overall, Mr. Razif advises focusing on the most important flow first to avoid students having a heavy workload.

Reflection

Ultimately, I chose my previous project outcome from last semester to develop into a coded application for this module, instead of creating a new application. While I was happy to continue working on what I had started, user feedback allowed me to make improvements and align the project more closely with the brand's objectives and image. However, it was disappointing that I couldn't make significant changes due to time management issues, leaving me feeling that I wasn't giving my best. Despite this, I stayed positive by making adjustments when creating the prototype in Task 2. I focused on integrating the brand's main color for consistency and avoided using too many similar colours, such as beige and orange.
