For Project 4, Mr. Fauzi hopes our outcomes are reflecting on what we like such as hobby or interest. Mr. Fauzi stated that he does not want our design to be meaningless. Thus, we are required to follow the schedule provided below and consult the ideas with him before moving further to the next step.

Week 11
As this semester is ending thus we are assigned Final Project: Self-Titled.
Thus in the following weeks until the last day of this semester, this blog are
required to record and keep all the progressions on completing the final
project.
Week 13
Mr. Fauzi gave individual feedback based on our progressions. He also
demonstrated on how to use
stock video into our photography work.
Besides, I had consulted with Mr. Fauzi to compile the progressions into one
blog thus complexity of opening multiple related posts for checking or
viewing is reduced.

Project 4 - Self-Titled Slides

Final Project Consultation 1
Week 11,
we are assigned to complete until slide 9 before next class, after that we
are required to discuss our ideas and concepts with Mr. Fauzi on the
following weeks before importing it to After Effects.

Development 1
1) Idea Development
a. Biography
I am a new student transferred from TAR UMT. I
had completed my foundation in arts there. However, due to the long holiday to
further my study in degree, I decided to enrol to Taylor’s. After graduating
from SPM, I have done several jobs such as waiter, kitchen assistant in a
local fast food restaurant. Although the salary is quite nice for fresh
graduate like me, but I insist to resign as they wanted to promote me but I
don’t think i can manage the stress. After resign, I went to work in a maid
agency and it was freaking intense and miserable job that I had done
before.
I love to swim and I only can swim however,
recently I started to play badminton with my cousin and we also jogging on
every Saturday. I like to watch people dancing in the middle of the park while
I jogging. Apart from that, I have little interest in fashion. I like to
browse on the new collection of those fashion houses. In addition, I think I
have a strong personality such as being motivating, helpful, humor, caring and
kind as a friend and brother.
I am still looking the purpose of my life. I always
wondering what am I capable to do and what am I supposed to do at every stages
of my life. Besides, I also want to be more mature as years goes by yet remain
some childishness. This is because I want to keep that energy for my niece,
nephew and god childrens. Last, I wish I could find inner peace and be mindful
of my mental and physical health.
b. Statement about My Work
I like to have text flow surrounding the main subject of my poster. I also think of the most iconic scene in the movie - The Clueless, where the actress use her computer to generate her outfits for the day (Watch it here). I also think of hide and seek/ groundhog game effect, where I will be jumping around different folders with different outfits.
In addition, I also think of adding the flow
of water like waterfall for the animation part. Retro animation are also
considering to try on. The motions when smashing the shuttlecock such as jump
and run. In addition
I wish my final outcome can show my character
as described in my biography.
c. Visual Research - Mood Board
I prefer simple but with strong character/
personalities like poster 1 and poster 3. Just some random things flying or
floating around the main subject. It was so aesthetic.
I like to have text flow surrounding the main subject of my poster. On the left is the first poster, I like how my senior expressing his loves on
flora and butterflies. By adding a sunset makes the composition have more
aesthetic appealing.
On the second poster, personality does show in how we dress how self. Thus, I
think it is also a way to allow me to express my inner self in this kind of
artwork.
On the third poster, it reminds me of the first lecture with Mr. Fauzi, he
emphasise on keeping our progressions and design in a proper filing method.
Thus I think it would be meaningful to do so in my final projects.

On the left is my fourth inspiration poster, to show different phases of
me, I think it would be great to express myself in this way, then applying
the slot machine kind of affect so it appears different combination every
time.
On the fifth poster, I like how the text are being distort and the
composition arrangement and by adding of shapes created depth.
On the sixth poster, it gives me a swag and cool feel. I think of creating
it then apply several lighting effect, the light dot will move around
me.

Final Project Consultation 2
Week 13, after discussion with Mr. Fauzi, we decided to develop on Fig,
1.3 - Sketch #1. Besides, Mr Fauzi also provided me a tutorial video on
creating a
pendulum swing effect.

Artist Statement
When digitising my poster, it recalls the memory of me visited Pulau Redang in this July. I was sitting on the swing watching the sunset, listening to the wave of the sea, everything is just so peaceful and chill. I like to just sitting around somewhere by myself, think of my future, education and etc. As I did not manage to animate the effect of wave on my background, however I added text and applied Warp Wave effect to it. The concept and and the text are related. As I like to daydreaming but I should not just limits it as a daydreaming, instead I should Live My Life Boldly for every possibilities.

Final Project Submission
Week 14, based on the feedback given, I make alteration on the poster by adding adjustment layers to make the
subject contrast with the background and I added text to my composition in After
Effects.

As advised, I had applied adjustment layers to my first attempt of digital poster. The adjustment layers are only applied onto the subject of the image as the first attempt of the subject is too bright (like fading) thus does not show contrast and catch the attention of the audience at first sight. Thus, I had adjusted with using Curves and Exposure to make the subject (which is me) a little bit dark.

Feedback
Week 13
Sketch #1 is approved. Mr. Fauzi advised to find the effect of rain
(meteor) in Youtube so no need to waste time on animating it. Keep it
simple and just do it like doing Project 2A: Shazam. The main focus is
ourself.
Week 14
I can edit my photo to make it a bit contrast and balance with the
background. Mr. Fauzi think the last part a bit weird when I make yourself
fall. Maybe I can maintain the whole swing part. And I can add some
animation of text/ quote etc. into it.
