    Description
The theme of this project is Renewal of Life - Return. Thus, in my design, I start it with illustrating the stage where we came from, which is a hospital. To allow my audience to have a real quick understanding of the message I want to convey, I added a baby carriage and I further added an ambulance to fill up the empty space.

Then in the next stage, is where we learn, experience, undergo challenges, meet people, gain knowledge, struggles and so on. Same goes to the second panel, I added a bus and the symbols of life - a fire torch in front of the buildings. The bus means the bustle of life, we are hasling with our school, friends and the society. We feel confused, happy, excited, sad, exhausted and overwhelmed. The fire torch represents like a lighthouse guiding us to achieve our goals and dreams additionally, nurture our next generation.

Then on the last stage, is the cemetery. Most people may wonder why the cemetery is illustrated in this design. However, from my perspective, death is not an end of our life, it is new beginning of one’s life. In addition to this, the message I wanted to convey is no matter if one is born with a gold spoon or not, the most important is how one decides to live their life. Owing to the reason that one can be broke if he doesn’t take care of his wealth and on the other hand, one can be rich because one can take good care of his belongings.

Additionally, during the stage where we receive information and knowledge, which is school and society, one can, due to his/ her hard work, become rich and bring wealth to his/ her family. However, this is just my personal view as I was raised with this mindset thus, I would like to illustrate it in this project.

    FEEDBACK

    Week 6
Mr. Hafiz advised me to visit Chris Ware"s design as the design of mine can be better if I refer to Chris Ware's design and adjust the strokes of my design, create different level of strokes then able to have different visual layers for instance, the building will have 12 pt of strokes while the window and sliding doors will be 7 pt. The outer strokes will have higher point while others will be lower than that. In addition, I was advised to change the background to gradients and add cars to each of the building accordingly. This allow the audience can have a direct understanding of the message that I wanted to convey and also correspond to the theme.

    REFLECTION

From this task, I has obtained the preliminary knowledge on participating a competition. It was a tough one as I wasn't prepare for any of this in the beginning of this semester. However, I adapted the atmosphere pretty well, thanks to the patience guidance from Ms. Anis and Mr. Fauzi. For this project, although my design are not awarded, but I am happy as I was able to express the theme based on my feelings and perspectives.
