Our classes today were conducted online. Mr. Fauzi make a quick recap on
last week lecture. Then Mr. Fauzi teaches us on the adjustment layer and
filter in Photoshop. Mr. Fauzi advised us to try on a few layers will be
good enough for the digital collage. Then, Mr. Fauzi reviewed each of our
digital collage and gave us feedback on the composition. The chosen
digital collage will then be used to put adjustment layer and we need to
provide the before and after to allow Mr. Fauzi and peers to see the
differences. We were then dismissed.
Adjustment Layer in Photoshop are a group of a super useful,
non-destructive image editing tools that add colour and tonal adjustments
to an image, which can be edited, discarded or restored to the original
image. With the adjustment layers, you can edit and discard your
adjustments or restore your original image at any time. This will make
your workflow in Photoshop more flexible and efficient, and is an absolute
must-know.

Filters - using filters to edit photos is an essential element
of Adobe’s graphics editor. There are filters to change colour, add blur
or create completely new image effects. Photoshop offers a virtually
unlimited variety of filters for this purpose.

Vital Tools & Project 1
During tutorial, we were asked to watch extra materials provided in the
Classroom. Then, we were distributed an exercise where we need to do
adjustment layer and filter on the Week 3 digital collage and give an
explanation on the layers and filters added. The chosen digital collage will
then be used to put adjustment layer and we need to provide the before and
after to allow Mr. Fauzi and peers to see the differences.

Description:
During Week 4, I had learned to put adjustment and layer without ruining the original collage that I had done in Week
3. In this image, I had applied several effects and layers. I did
manage to play along with the adjustment and layers tool to explore
more of the features and effects. While doing this collage, after I
had changed the texture (red) to blue, I decided to transform
this collage into a blue/ cyan and purple kind of color vibe. After
that, I had changed the upper part of the background from texture
(water) to gradient purple to achieve a loneliness kind of vibe. Then
I added the fish and applied Hue/ Saturation. In the meantime, I applied
color balance to the building and on top of the fishes. The scale of
the fishes have become a mixture of dark blue and green, giving them
a mystic kind of fish , swimming from the void to the mortal world. As
an alternative, it can be illustrated that the sea is now on top of
the sky. Then the fish is swimming downward and across the streets.
